![]() Here’s a riddle: You have one match, and are trapped in a cold dark room. You have an oil lamp, a gas heater and a gas stove. Which one do you light first?
![]() Before your light can shine, there has to be some kind of fire. Instead of being pressured by peers to be more like the world, hang out with God, so you become more like Him. Before we get that true fire, God consumes all the sins. (Heb 12:29) ![]() We Christians must not let our lives be polluted. We must stand firm in God. We must understand that salvation isn't negotiable. It's either we have it or we don't. As a Christian, you can't let oil pollute your life. When hot oil and water are together, sparks fly. Christians are water, pure in heart and refreshing. Meanwhile, unbelievers have the characteristics of oil; greasy and full of impurity. There's no "in the middle" when it comes to salvation. God has not appointed us onto wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. Many people decide not to take salvation because they want to enjoy life first. However, in salvation, there's pure enjoyment. ![]() “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” (James 5:16) We pray because we need God's help. Prayer is a powerful part of Christian life. An effective prayer has to be earnest and sincere. It should have zeal and be fervent. It also has to be according to his will. Prayer should be part of your nature. ![]() "...Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” (Ephesians 5:14) As Christians, we’re supposed to be holy. But sometimes, we let things slip, and let the world overcome us. If you fall down, you should get right back up. We shouldn’t let our situations determine our mood and state of mind. Christianity is not about doing devotions or prayer, but about really living for God. |
